While it's true that this place holds a special spot in history, my recent visit left me with mixed emotions. The much-talked-about hype didn't quite live up to the reality. The biryani, often praised, turned out to be rather average, and the kebabs were just passable. It's a bit disheartening when a longstanding reputation doesn't translate to an exceptional dining experience. Perhaps this place is more about nostalgia than culinary brilliance.
When in Lucknow , a must visit for traditional mughlai cuisine. Though the restaurant is under repairs at present undergoing renovation, it's a place not to be missed. Great food , authentic taste and value for money. The mughlai Paratha just melts in the mout and so does the gehlauti.
Visited this place for dinner on a friday night. The food is super delicious and the menu has many options for non vegetarian authentic mughlai cuisine. I had ordered Galawati Kebab and Chicken masala with mughlai Paratha and everything was just too good. The taste is as good as you can imagine. The ambience of the place is also decent. However some of the seating area in the upper floor is still work in progress. Also we had to wait for 15 mins for a table to be given to us as the place is crowded from evening especially during weekends.
